Credeity issues findings under dual control. When a finding is disputed, the process below governs review, adjudication, and notification.
Who may initiate
Either the borrower or the lender may request review of any finding.
Evidence standard
The requester submits documentation supporting the correction. Credeity re-tests the finding against the original evidence plus the new submission.
Requests after source-document deletion
Where a correction is requested after source documents have been deleted under the retention schedule, the requester resubmits the original documents. Credeity verifies each submission against the SHA-256 hash recorded in the Case Evidence Manifest before re-testing. A document that does not match the recorded hash is not the document that was tested, and the original finding stands unless the requester identifies the discrepancy.
Response window
Credeity responds within five business days of receiving a complete request.
Adjudication
Correction requests are adjudicated independently of the original analysis.
Outcome
Where a correction is warranted, a revised report is issued under a new version number. The original remains retrievable and is marked superseded.
Notification
Every institution that received the original report is notified when a revised version is issued. This obligation is not conditional on the requester's preference.
Scope
This policy covers findings of fact and finding status. It does not cover disagreement with the lender's credit decision, which is outside Credeity's role.
